Yeah, like… Ignore everything I said like a heck.
I will fight you! Ariel is my least favorite. Seriously, because she decides to throw away her life, friends, and family over a guy she has literally never met or talked to; she ignores her dad who is only trying to protect her from literally dying; and her character design is really scary, as in her waist is so disproportionate even by disney standards that it looks like someone took a bite out of her torso. Also there’s something really fucked up about thematically trading your voice for a vagina.
I don’t think most if any of those things were intended by the writers and artists, but I do think they were (to a degree) influenced by ingrained/subconscious ideas about women.
